We took a ticket at New York City Hall, met the grumpy clerk, confirmed we hadn’t been married before and then waited for the marriage licence. Two days later we were married with just us, our dear friend Fr Luigi Gioia who officiated, and a few of our closest Manhattanite friends before ending up in Mexico City.

Now we have to include all of the people who got us here, and we want to say thank you to all of you, which is what 29 August is for.
